APCC & e2 Solar: A Perfect Partnership!

About APCC

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) is a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to protecting and preserving Cape Cod’s natural environment for over 55 years. Their mission is clear and impactful: to create “A Cape Cod where waters are restored and protected, natural landscapes and wildlife habitats are preserved, and where growth respects the character of town centers and rural lands” (apcc.org). In 2019, APCC began a wonderful partnership with e2 Solar, a collaboration that has made significant strides in sustainability.

The Beginning of the Partnership

In 2019, e2 Solar installed a 10.86 kW solar system at APCC’s main building, including the roof of a shed behind the main structure. Because APCC is located in the Old King’s Historical District, e2 Solar carefully designed a system that was both efficient and discreet, adhering to the local historic society’s guidelines by ensuring the panels were not visible from the main road.

What’s Happening Now

Fast forward to today, and E2 Solar has successfully completed the installation of the solar system on the barn, dubbed “The Koppel Center to Preserve Cape Cod”.  Learn more about the Koppel Center, its intiatives, and schedule a tour or book the space here: https://apcc.org/the-koppel-center/

Looking to the Future

e2  Solar estimates that with the additional solar system, APCC will be able to further support its missions and programs while also making a positive impact on the environment. Going solar will significantly reduce their carbon emissions, helping to protect the planet. The infographic below showcases APCC’s estimated environmental impact:
